Rules
The competition will run from 1st January 2010 until 12pm 31st December 2010.
Competitors must be signed up on the Ozy Mandias Warning Blog site ‘TRADEME CHALLENGE PAGE’ before January 31st and your first purchase must be made prior to February 28th 2010.
The winner is the person who has the most points at 12pm on 31st December 2010.
This competition runs on a points system. Every dollar you make is one point and bonus points can be awarded for the completion of various tasks.
Bonus points are an important part of the game and will have a bearing on the overall result. You could be the overall winner but not necessarily have the most expensive item. Bonus points are awarded as follows and each item can only give you one lot of bonus points. To stop people using the same bonus point over and over you can’t use the same bonus point more than once.
100 points for an item over 10kg.
100 points for an item over 1.5m tall.
200 points for using the ‘buy now’ price.
200 points something which tells the time.

Your first purchase, and any subsequent improvements you make to your item, must not exceed $50 ( including pandp) and must be made before the last day in February.
Postage costs and Trade Me fees are included in your budget. This is to encourage you to buy locally and mix with the locals in your neighbourhood.
There is no limit to the total number of times you can trade, however, you must trade, at least once every month from February through to December. For every month you fail to trade 300 points is deducted from your final total.
You may improve an item but any improvement must be paid out and not exceed your Trade Me Fund.
Improvements can be done with items not from Trade Me, but these items must be purchased and logged onto the site.
e.g – you could buy a car off Trade Me, buy paint from a shop, and then on sell your item.
You must sell your final item within the month of December. If you can’t sell your item you get no points.
Any purchase or sales must be logged onto the Ozy Mandias Blog ‘TRADEME CHALLENGE PAGE’ within one week of the transaction. Failure to so will result in you losing 500 points.
The winner will be the person with the highest total of points come December 31st.
