Michael Phelps – Sore Loser

So Michael Phelps has thrown his toys when he got second in his latest race at the World Champs. He seems to be claiming that swimming is unfair because of the latest swimsuits and has vowed not to race until the issue is cleared up.

Swimming must move with the times. Every other sport is controlled by technology and to start complain when you lose is a bit rich. My hunch is that he has a large sonsorhsip deal with the tog company that hasn’t developed the fast suit. Otherwise just nip down to the local store and pick one up, Mr Phelps. So the issue isn’t really with the suit, the issue is that he cant wear one.

Grow up Phelps. Three times week I am down at the local pool swimming the best I can with my loose fitting running shorts. They seem to do me fine.

For some cool pictures of the swimsuits click here.

if you KNEW ANYTHING about swimming you would actually know that those suits violated the rules… grow up yourself and judge when you are actually well versed on the topics you discuss… which you clearly are not!

not to mention your little piece is poorly written

  3. Thanks for your comment Jay, although one must wonder if your real name is M Phelps due to your one sided views. Fortunatley I am well researched in swim suits, owning three different types in a variety of colours and styles. Sadly though you have not given any indication of where my posts goes wrong. Phelps threw his toys when someone came up with better technology. End of story. The question must be asked – Would he have complained if his company came up with the nex design?

  4. it shouldnt matter, swimming isnt a real sport anyway, no ball and you cant push anyone. Swimming and chess should classed as hobbies………..hehehe

  5. Any sport wear men have to dress up in tight clothing is not really a sport, more of a hobbie. Also true sports require contact between competitors. Swimming could get around this by having competitors wear board shorts and by having no lanes. A giant free for all with crashes and drownings.
