KFC – Secret Recipe found – Cockroach

Forget Kentucky Fried Chicken people. The real meaning behind those famous three letters, KFC, is now – Kentucky Fried Cockroach
The secret to KFC’s herbs and spices has just been found out by a British HealthInspector. The city of Westminster Magistrates’ Court heard that during an inspection at the Leicester Square branch, the officer saw a cockroach within the chip dispenser. This is a massive blow to KFC who had been jealousy guarding the secret for sometime.
The Colonel’s secret flavor recipe of 11 herbs and spices that creates the famous “finger lickin’ good” chicken had been a trade secret for sometime. The company goes to great lengths to keep the ingredients secret with portions of the spice mix made at different locations in the United States, and the only complete, handwritten copy of the recipe is kept in a vault in corporate headquarters.
The history of the recipe is long and involved. Recently, in September 9 2008, the one complete copy of the recipe was temporarily moved to an undisclosed location under extremely tight security, while KFC revamped the security at its headquarters. On February 9, 2009, the secret recipe returned to KFC’s Louisville headquarters into a more secure, computerized vault. Before the move, KFC disclosed the following details about the recipe and its security arrangements:
Before the move, KFC disclosed the following details about the recipe and its security arrangements:
- The recipe, which includes exact amounts of each component, is written in pencil on a single sheet of notebook paper and signed by Sanders.
- The recipe was locked in a filing cabinet with two separate combination locks. The cabinet also included vials of each of the 11 herbs and spices used.
- Only two executives had access to the recipe at any one time. KFC refuses to disclose the names and titles of either executive.
- One of the two executives said that no one had come close to guessing the contents of the secret recipe, and added that the actual recipe would include some surprises.
That last line is the clincher and the revelation that the surprise ingredient is none other than a cockroach will be a shock to many people, and maybe even cockroaches who now have to face the realisation when they eat the chicken they are eating their own. Wont stop me though. I love KFC and it is with delight that a new outlet is being built 3km from my front door. From now on though I will just think of it as a kind of ‘FEAR FACTOR’ game every time I have a piece of chicken.

Imported cockroaches no doubt.
In NZ, we should be using wetas anyway.

How did one of the two executives say anything if their name and title is unknown. This article is derp.
